The Necromancer's Gambit

This is my submission for BYOG 2024!
Controls -   WASD to move, 1 and 2 to switch cards and shoot. Unfortunately the 3rd card, ice wall didn't make it this time. 

Waves start spawning after 15 seconds. You can position yourself in that time. ( couldn't mention that in the game )

With this game I initially set out to make a first person card strategy game. But turned out to be different.

What went good -

• Except for the Mixamo animations and the music/sounds, all of the art and animations are by me. Had fun creating the sand golem kinda thing.
• Card throwing mechanics (needs polish though) and a lot more options. 
• Wayyy better than my previous game jams which I made smaller games compared to this one.
• I painted a skybox for the first time ever.

What went bad -

• Not many variations of enemy and the AI is sometimes whack. They can hit you from the below floor.
• Level design that I had imagined initially with a Halo Blood Gulch inspired setup that favours PVE, had to be abandoned because of time constraints. 
• Shouldn't have put the UI tasks at the end. Looks very flat but maybe music saved it.
• Very very basic wave spawner.
• No plot at all. You just spawn as a magi in the middle of zombies.
